The Work Skills training project is a Social Enterprise based at Oldfield Farm and Norman Wood Farm, which are adjoined in the beautiful Goyt Valley. Participant ‘ownership’ is the key to success – which is why we encourage participants to become involved with planning as well as participating in the various activities. We welcome referral for the projects from a variety of agencies including Probation and the Community Mental Health Team or from individuals themselves.
We have opened a small and friendly Livery Yard at our farm in the Goyt Valley. There are 17 acres of grassland with securely fenced boundaries and electric fenced paddocks, 12 X 12 American Barn stables and a riding track. There is also use of an indoor round pen and plenty of off road riding straight from the farm.
